Pork

Pork is the culinary name for the meat of the domestic pig, which is eaten in many countries. Pork is eaten in several forms, mostly freshly cooked meat. Pork can also come in different forms such as cured (some hams, including the Italian prosciutto) or smoked or a combination of these methods (other hams, gammon, bacon or pancetta). It is also a common ingredient in many different types of sausages. It is one of the most commonly eaten meats in the world, although consumption varies widely from place to place due to certain religious restrictions on the consumption of pork.
