When cooking certain dishes, often times some of the ingredients called for in the recipe can be difficult or impossible to locate in certain parts of the world. But all hope is not lost. Many ingredients do have an equivalent ingredient that can be used in the place of the missing ingredient. Sometimes ingredient substitution may also be necessary to accommodate those with certain food allergies or difficulty digesting certain food items.
