This is Fried Bananas (Pritong Saba). Fried bananas are a very common Filipino street food. Almost anywhere you find street food vendors you will find someone making this treat. The saba bananas can be difficult to find outside of Southeast Asia. However, there are many readily available substitutes you can use. Such as plantains or the more common banana. It’s very simple to make and a very delicious snack. The best bananas to use for this dish are those that are really ripe (almost over ripe). Enjoy this recipe from all of us at Filipino Chow.
